Academic and Career Planning

Academic and Career Planning, or ACP, is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.

These plans will be developed by students in grades 6-12. As a district, we have been working this school year on the plans for this implementation as DPI has required this for all schools by 2017. We want this to be meaningful for students and help prepare them to make informed choices when it comes to their future. We do have guidelines from the state we have to work within, but can adjust the framework and structures to best support our Black River Falls Students.

These plans will support students in recognizing their strengths, setting goals, exploring careers and making plans to reach their goals. We are excited to work with students and families to continue to Inspire Excellence through these plans as well.
